This might not come as a surprise to many, according to a new job listing, Playground Games has already started work on the next Forza Horizon title (most probably Forza Horizon 6). The job listing reads:
Playground Games is looking for a Level Designer to join our Forza Horizon team. As a member of the design team on a AAA title, you’ll take responsibility for large sections of the game’s level design, as well as mentoring and leading junior teammates.
Microsoft’s Forza Horizon series has been a critical and commercial success and it’s a no brainer that they want bring more games in the franchise. However, since Forza Horizon 5 was released in late 2021, don’t expect the game to be come out any time soon.
If we are to guess, we might not see the release atleast until 2024. For the time being, fans are enjoying the Forza Horizon 5 experience and we can expect new content and updates for the game to arrive for a foreseeable future.
Moreover, Forza Motorsport 8 is expected to release in 2022 so Forza fans have something to look forward to until the release of Forza Horizon 6. Like every Forza Horizon game, fans are speculating the location of next Horizon game. The location/map for a Forza Horizon game is always quite important as it sets the tone of overall gameplay. While Mexico proved to be a good choice for Forza Horizon 5, for Horizon 6, Japan and China seems to be popular choices among fans.
Playground Games is also developing Fable 4 which is also expected to release this year or next year at max. The game has been in development for a long while now and we expect Playground Games to share more information in it soon.
