Leaker Promises New Modern Warfare 2 Leak Later Today

A leaker on Twitter that goes by the name of RalphsValve is apparently ready to release a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 leak later today. According to the Twitter post that announced it, the leak would include things like multiplayer, campaign details, the box design, weapons, engine details, and more.

We haven’t heard anything about the second entry in the rebooted Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series, but considering that Infinity Ward is next up in the rotating trio of studios that Activision has pumping out new Call of Duty games, it stands to reason that a sequel to the 2019 game is up next.

While we know nothing about the story so far, if what RalphsValve said on Twitter is true, the game will be going even further in terms of pushing the technological envelope and story. His tweet makes mention of destruction mechanics, returning characters, a gunsmith, and skill-based matchmaking.

The previous Modern Warfare game revolved around Captain Price and his team working with resistance fighters in a fictional Middle Eastern country that’s been occupied by Russia for decades (similar to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in our timeline) while also fighting a terrorist cell responsible for attacks all over Europe.

Hopefully, RalphsValve’s alleged Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 leak turns out to be true. Since the previous Modern Warfare game was one of the most popular yet (especially after two far less well-received games from Infinity Ward), and the old Modern Warfare is still seen as one of the best Call of Duty games ever, the new Modern Warfare 2 has a lot to live up to.

Aside from a likely general release window of “late next year”, we still know almost nothing about the game, but hopefully RalphsValve’s Modern Warfare 2 leak ends up giving the fanbase what they want. Ralph will post the leak at 8 P.M. Greenwich Mean Time.
