It’s been 5 years now since the release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. And after a wait of 5 long years, fans are all set to experience the next game in the series, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Although a lot of features and gameplay elements remain the same, the Tears of the Kingdom has a lot of new stuff to offer. Starting a fire in Tears of the Kingdom, however, remains pretty much the same.
What is the Need to Start a Fire in Tears of the Kingdom?
If you are a veteran and have played Breath of the Wild, this is actually a no-brainer however, if you are starting Tears of the Kingdom without playing BoTW, or your memory is a bit a rusty, there are a number of reasons you are going to need to start a fire in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
First, in the beginning section of the game, just like in BoTW, you will be hunting a shrine in a snowy area and if you don’t know how to start a fire, you might struggle with cold as you won’t be able to light a stick (to improve temperature) or maybe, cook some food that will provide you cold resistance. Since you won’t have any gear to tackle the cold in the beginning, you will be relying on Starting a fire technique to stay warm or cook something that will keep you warm.
Apart from that, if you want to cook food, you might need to start a fire in the middle of no-where. You will need a cooking pot if you want to cook as if you throw anything eatable in raw fire, it will get roasted.
You can also use the fire you made (using wood sticks) to sit and pass time so that’s a useful function as well. Since grass and wood can catch fire as well in Tears of the Kingdom, you can also use the smoke from it to fly like a balloon. Now that we understand the basic uses of a fire, let’s see different methods from which you can start a fire.
