Elden Ring DLC Enters Quality Assessment (Debug) Phase, Release Imminent?

Officially, Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree doesn’t have a release date yet. However, recent leaks have indicated that the Shadow of Erdtree’s release date is in February 2024. Elden Ring was released on February 25, 2022, so fans thought it would be fitting if the expansion was released on the same date as well.

Now, today, some new SteamDB entries have surfaced related to Elden Ring DLC. These entries are titled dev-deubg, dev-release, pd-number, qa-debug and qa-release. From the titles of these backend updates, we can assume that Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree has entered the quality assessment or debug phase, which is usually the final stage of software development process.

These entries have fans excited again, as the February 25 release for Elden Ring DLC seems more plausible. Officially, however, neither Bandai Namco nor FromSoftware has given us a confirmed release date yet. We are expecting this to change soon as based on all these leaks, it’s just a matter of time the publisher makes an official announcement.

From what little we have seen for Shadow of the Erdtree, fans already have a lot of theories about; however, considering FromSoftware’s history, we can expect a new armor, weapons, armor, questlines, consumables, and mechanics. Shadows of the Erdtree is one of the most anticipated expansions for 2024 and we are expecting it to be as good or may better than Elden Ring.
