A new Midnight Club Game Could be in Development

When we think of Rockstar Games, first thing that comes to our minds is Grand Theft Auto as it’s the most popular franchise by the development studio. However, there are some other famous franchises too by Rockstar like Bully, Red Dead Redemption, Midnight Club and L.A. Noir. While we received Red Dead Redemption 2 recently, fans have bee craving for the new entries in other Rockstar titles for a long time now. Midnight Club, although less popular than others is one of those video game series.

Now, based on some Take-Two Interactive (parent company of Rockstar Games) Job Listings, hope has been rekindled for a new Midnight Club game. Multiple Job listings mention an “open world driving game”. The listing for Senior Software Engineer (multiplayer) reads:

\

Our Foothill Ranch, CA studio is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our development efforts on an exciting new open world driving game! Within this role, you will be focused on ensuring the moment to moment networked multiplayer experience is the best it can be.

Now since the listing doesn’t mention “New IP”, it increases the chances of the driving title to be a Midnight Club game. Moreover, we can also assume that the upcoming open-world driving game, be it Midnight Club or not, will have multiplayer elements as well.

In another job listing for a Producer, it’s mentioned that the game is multi-platform and ofcourse, a AAA title. Another important thing that these listings reveal is that the game has been in development since 2019.

While Rockstar has officially confirmed the existence of GTA 6, Take-Two Interactive has also publicly stated that fans can expect more games from them in the future. Could Midnight Club be one of them? Only the time will tell
