After multiple delays and a lot of anticipation, Techland’s Dying Light 2 has finally been launched. The game was expected to be a hit however, the current popularity of the game might have exceeded expectations.
As of writing this, Dying Light 2 has surpassed 200k concurrent players on Steam. And these numbers are expected to grow as we proceed further for the launch day. Now that if you are confused that how good these numbers are, as a reference, God of War PC had around 75k concurrent players on Steam upon its release. Cyberpunk 2077 reported more than 1M concurrent players on Steam upon its launch. So considering these numbers, 200K plus and counting is a pretty descent number on the launch day and I like I said earlier, that is, by no means should be treated as the peak for the game!
So It’s safe to assume that Dying Light 2 is a critical hit. The game did receive great reviews and had strong pre-orders. Techland has already revealed a pretty long DLC plan for the game and just like Dying Light, players will be able to enjoy Dying Light 2 for a long long time. The game already has a lot of content on launch. Techland has revealed that if you want to do everything in Dying Light 2, it will approximately take you around 500 hours. For the main content of the game however, it will take 25-35 hours.
Dying Light 2 is now available for PlayStation Consoles, Xbox Consoles and PC.
